Choose a space where you can speak freely

An online visit works best when you can focus on the conversation. Choose a quiet, private place and let family members know if you need uninterrupted time. If someone is helping you, decide beforehand what you are comfortable discussing in their presence. Do not attend a video consultation while driving or doing an activity that needs your attention.

Check the simple technical details

HHS recommends checking the device, internet connection, camera and sound before the appointment. Place the device steadily and choose lighting that lets the doctor see you clearly. Have a way to contact the hospital if the connection fails. These small preparations reduce avoidable interruptions and leave more of the appointment for the conversation itself.

Bring the same information you would bring in person

Keep current prescriptions, relevant reports and your short list of questions nearby. Tell the doctor if a report is unavailable rather than trying to guess a result from memory. If you need help using a device or have a communication preference, mention it to staff when arranging the visit. You can also keep a pen ready to note the agreed next step.

Understand what an online visit can and cannot do

A video conversation cannot provide every kind of physical examination. The doctor may recommend an in-person assessment or specialist care. That recommendation is part of arranging an appropriate next step. Do not wait for an online appointment if you have severe or sudden symptoms that need urgent medical attention. Ask staff whether the online format is suitable for your particular concern.

How to request an online visit at Rajaram’s

Choose Online consultation on the booking page, then select a preferred date and time. Enter the basic patient details and a brief reason for the appointment. Save the reference after submitting. The hospital team must confirm your request and arrange joining details; a submitted form alone is not confirmation. If you need to change the request, call +91 72868 80888.
